LET’S GO strives to find new quality STEM activities for our partners. An opportunity to collaborate with the National Energy Education Development [NEED] Project, who offers energy based curriculum, allowed us to learn all that the NEED curriculum has to offer alongside one of our partners, Washington School for Girls [WSG]./READ MORE/ LET’S GO reviewed current science concepts taught at Washington School for Girls for grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. Then we reviewed NEED Project curriculum to see what concepts had a cross over. LET’S GO then sat down in planning sessions with the science teachers from WSG and discussed the needs of the WSG students and how we could offer more hands-on lessons using the NEED curriculum and kits we purchased. After the professional development session with NEED, we came together again to plan implementation sessions. We plan to assist the use of the NEED curriculum this Spring at WSG. LET’S GO will also work with other partners to implement more Energy Education in to their STEM programs.
