While all youth are capable of learning and great success, too many lack the resources and support necessary to persist in STEM education. LET’S GO STEM Scholars, youth with demonstrated STEM interest and persistence, participate in a variety of STEM activities and competition teams, school and career exploration, and family engagement events designed to further develop their STEM identity—a youth’s internal belief that he or she is capable of being successful in STEM or STEM-related fields in school and beyond. By developing collaborations and partnerships with local universities, STEM industry professionals and other STEM providers, we connect youth with mentors, internships, and STEM experiences to help them succeed in education and the workforce.
We are proud of our STEM scholars who are on the pathway to STEM or STEM related careers. Students from Govans Elementary have been accepted to many of the academically advanced middle schools in Baltimore City this fall.
