Math is the fundamental language of science and engineering. Math is a fundamental skill of nearly every craft and profession in this technical world. Providing math tutoring and fun math games and activities are perhaps the most important element of the LET’S GO integrated and balanced STEM education program.

LET’S GO has brokered cooperative math activities between the schools and neighboring out-of-school organizations. Math tutoring activities are designed to help prepare the students for their standard math exams required to be taken by all public school students. Math tutoring is provided to help the students with their math course work. Math textbooks and access to math homework assignments are obtained from the school. Parents of the tutored students are requested to sign release forms to enable tutors to talk to teachers and track school grades.

Not all of our math activities deal directly with preparation for taking standard math tests and improving grades in math courses. We are working to organize a set of fun math games and fun, hands-on math activities to generate some excitement with math. All of the above math activities are focused on increasing STEM interest and STEM proficiency.
