What goes up must come down: paper airplanes, basketballs, parachutes, leaves falling from the trees, even you. Curious to see if this statement was true, students were given the opportunity to put this concept to the test. Given a multitude of items, students made a hypothesis about which objects would fall and which ones would fall the fastest.
This activity prompted a conversation about gravity and air resistance while stimulating student led debates about the topic. Students were introduced to the concept of gravity first with a storybook, but the hands-on experiment really brought the concept to life.
What can we say, well just like the book title, That’s Gravity!
