LET’S GO FLL Teams Qualify for Maryland State Championships!
All three LET’S GO FIRST LEGO League teams are going to the State Championship
On January 29, our three FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams from Govans Elementary, Lakeland Elementary Middle and Westport Academy competed at the Baltimore City FLL Regional Qualifier. The three teams practiced weekly to prepare for this competition. These young engineers designed, built and programmed a robot. They identified a physical or social problem faced by humans during long duration space exploration and proposed a solution.

Westport Academy team member, Khal’air, shares with the judges how ‘Space Dancing’ can help astronauts stay fit and healthy.
The Lakeland Builders respect each other and embrace their differences
With their coaches they explored new skills and ideas. They used creativity and persistence to solve problems and they learned they were stronger when they worked together. And most importantly they had fun!

And at the awards ceremony all THREE teams were named the top three overall teams and invited to compete in the State Championship at UMBC.
We are so proud of these youth and coaches, and now we need your support. We need to raise $5,000 to help these teams prepare and attend the championship.
